Dr Rasyid, MBBS. (or Dr. R as he is affectionately known to our teams and families) is the Medical Director of The Wave and a Consultant Psychiatrist. Under Dr Rasyid’s guidance the medical team are able to provide outstanding solutions in all aspects of psychiatry and mental health care for adolescents and young adults.
Dr Rasyid has a specialist interest in Eating Disorders, Addictions, ADHD and Personality Disorders. He is an involved and dynamic member of the Malaysia Psychiatric Community has been invited to contribute to National and International Policies on Addiction Medicine.
Dr Rasyid is well respected for his contribution to the development of psychiatry in Malaysia. As mentor and leader of young psychiatrists and a senior lecturer at The International Medical University, Dr Rasyid is influential in shaping the future of psychiatry in Malaysia. Dr Rasyid is acknowledged for his consultations with Family Offices and international families requiring discretion and integrity in treatment planning for children, teenagers and young adults. He regularly advises overseas families via telehealth platforms.
Dr Rasyid is a keen traveller and has several European cities at the top of his list of favourite places in the world, including London, Madrid and Geneva.
