Mahisha is a UK qualified Psychotherapist with a MSc from Goldsmiths, London.
Mahisha is a trauma focused mental health specialist, with a professional interest in Eating Disorders and Personality Disorders. Mahisha combines DBT, Somatic (Body Based) Therapy and Parts Work with great success in our teenage and young adult programs. Mahisha is currently developing an Internal Family Systems or IFS Program with the Clinical Element at The Wave. Evidence based and highly engaging, IFS is an extremely useful tool for effective treatment.
Mahisha is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (I & II) and trained in Body Dysmorphic Disorder. Mahisha is a Member of The ACCPH and Federation of Addiction Professionals. Having undertaken additional training in Eating Disorders – Inside Out Institute, Australia, ACT, IFS, and GPM for the effective treatment of BPD.
Mahisha is loved by our young adults and families alike, her experiential, creative and expressive therapies are a welcome addition to our clinical program. Mahisha is known to her team mates as the dancer. As the life and soul of the clinical team she can usually be found choreographing team dances on the roof terrace or chasing her rather cheeky Beagle Puppy.
